Air Frying Chicken: Delicious and Simple

I love to BBQ my Lemongrass Chicken during the summer, but I do not want to stand in the cold in the winter months on my balcony BBQing chicken. The Air Fryer has been my best friend when it comes to chicken dishes. It keeps the chicken super juicy on the inside while giving the skin the perfect crisp!

Scallion Oil: The Best Condiment For Lemongrass Chicken

Scallion Oil is my favorite part of Lemongrass Chicken. I know it is not a traditional way of serving it, but after trying this in Vietnam during my travels in the summer, it completely changed the game and became my favorite way of having chicken. This scallion oil tastes good with EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING. With the combination of Lemongrass Chicken plus Scallion Oil, I can have bowls and bowls of rice.

Air Fryer Lemongrass Chicken Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of Chicken Thigh & Leg, deboned w/ the skin on
  • 6 cloves of Garlic, Chopped
  • 2 tbsp of minced Lemongrass
  • 3 stalks of Green Onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fish Sauce
  • 2 tbsp of Sugar
  • 2 tsp of Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • 4 tbsp of Oil
  1. Marinate chicken with minced garlic, lemongrass, fish sauce, sugar, chili flakes for 1 hour
  2. After 1 hour, add chicken in the air fryer skin side facing up. Make sure to spray the air fryer before adding the chicken. Set at 380 for 15-18 minutes. If your chicken has bone-in, add 5 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on it to prevent it from burning.
  3. In a bowl, add chopped green onion and salt. Heat 4 tbsp of oil, and once the oil is hot, drizzle it all over the green onion.
  4. To serve, drizzle green onion oil all over the chicken and enjoy!
