Archie returns to Destiny 2 with a trip to the Moon following the May 14, 2024, weekly reset.

This is the latest in a series of “Where in the System is Archie” quests in the wake of the Into the Light update — which are being staggered out week-by-week in the lead up to The Final Shape.

Note this quest expires on the May 21 weekly reset, and will be replaced by another Archie quest in a new location. Remember, provided you complete any Archie quest before the arrival of The Final Shape, you’ll get your hands on the Blue Steel shader, while the lore for all Archie quests will be available from June 4 on.

How to start ‘Where on the Moon is Archie?’ in Destiny 2

To start the latest “Where is Archie” quest, head to the Tower’s Annex and find the paw prints. For future reference, this is where you’ll find the beginning of every Archie quest each week.

You can reach this location by using the southwest-most fast travel point, then traveling straight ahead down the corridor. The paw prints will appear on the ledge to your right.

Investigate the prints and go talk to Ada-1 (found in the Annex proper opposite) to start the latest quest.

Now, head to the Moon, and speak to vendor Eris Morn in their usual spot in Sanctuary, at the very south of the destination. Once done, the search begins.

The first clue takes you to Archer’s Line, which is the area just to the west of Eris Morn and Sanctuary.

This clue refers to the Temple of Crota, which is a named area not on the map. To get there, head to Archor of Light, then exit out the path going east.

Battle your way through into the entrance and enter the temple.

This clue refers to the Hellmouth, a location in the center of the Moon.

This final location will be familiar to those who have played the Shadowkeep expansion.

Go to Sorrow’s Harbor — which is the area in the north-east of the destination — and exit out of the northeast passage, which sees you flanked by red walls and has a tower looming in the distance. (See the above map screenshot for the exact location.)

At the end, take the doorway left, and follow the route through the Enduring Abyss and its dark cave, until you emerge with a view of the Earth on the horizon. (The path here is linear, so you won’t take any wrong turns.)

Continue on until you emerge at the Pyramid ship. A single paw print on the ground indicates you are going in the right direction.

We’re almost there. Drop down to the path below, and continue until you reach a series of rocky outcrops. Archie will be on the center-most one.

Interact with Archie, then revisit Ada back in the Tower to complete the quest.

As well as 10 Trophy of Bravery — useful for getting more Brave weapons — you’ll also receive “A Cool Rock.” Whether you keep it is up to you. Archie will be sad if you don’t!

Once the lunar Pyramid comes into view, hop down to the narrow ledge to the left and follow it. You'll begin to see single pawprints on the ground. Surprisingly, Archie will be standing alone on a rock in the center of the next area.

Once inside, jump to the upper level of the building and enter the lost sector via the vents. Fight your way through the lost sector until you get to the section just before you jump into the portal to fight the final boss. You'll find Archie just off to the side by a high-tech claw machine.

To find Archie's last stop in the Cosmodrome, fast travel back to The Steppes near Shaw Han. Instead of moving toward Shaw, turn around and a little right to follow the corridor. Not far away, you'll find Archie imprisoned in a small force field being guarded by a surprisingly strong group of Fallen.

For this week's quest, Archie has gone missing on the Moon. You'll find him in these locations: Near the broken accelerator in Archer's Line. In the Temple of Crota, located northeast of the Anchor of Light.

Land in Liming and make your way north to the Lost Sector entrance. Walk inside and just do the normal version — as-in don't launch the Legend or Master version if they're available — and eventually you'll find Archie waiting by a claw machine.

In week 2, a new quest has been added to Destiny 2 to find Archie in the Cosmodrome. To start the quest, head back to the Tower Annex where Archie usually hangs out and look for the green glowing paw prints. Investigate the paw prints and visit Ada-1 to receive the new questline.

While he could originally be found hanging out in the H.E.L.M., he is now located in the Tower Annex outside the area where Ada-1 set up shop. Aside from starring in last year's series of Festival of the Lost lore cards, Archie has mostly just been chilling in the Tower and getting pets from players.

How to start the 'Where is Archie? ' quest in Destiny 2 each week. To start the Archie quest, you'll first need to visit him in the Annex, which is down the stairs from the Tower Bazaar. Normally you can find Archie lounging on a blanket outside of the old Black Armory area, opposite where Ada-1 hangs out.

There is a staircase and an opening leading into the vents near the Hanger Entrance. Go inside, and follow the path until you reach a small room. Now turn around, and go through the doorway leading towards the tower security desk. Archie will be waiting for you to come say hi.

Riverdale is the fictional setting for most of the characters that appear in Archie Comics. Riverdale's exact placement in the United States is uncertain, as conflicting details have been given over the years in the comics as to its location. However, it's believed to be upstate New York.

Go to the Annex in the Tower - this is where Archie can often be found, sitting before the hallway leading to Ada-1. By interacting with his glowing neon pawprints , you start the mission, which will first lead to Ada.

Choose Sorrow's Harbor as your landing point. Head toward the southeast exit and cross the red bridge. Keep going straight ahead through the tunnels to reach the Lunar Battlegrounds. Once out in the open, turn right and follow the path.
