What will be your role?
As our new Food & Beverage Manager, you will have operational responsibility for all Food & Beverage (F&B) service departments in our hotel. Your primary goal will be to ensure that each guest who enters one of your outlets receives personalised and outstanding service from your teams. While you will spend most of your time on the floor with the operational teams, you will also manage the administrative and financial tasks of your department.

A recurring challenge in this role will be embedding the Forbes quality standards into every aspect of your department’s daily operations through quality checks and training programmes. Your ability to understand and navigate our unique and dynamic organisational design will be crucial as you foster an environment that promotes innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.

On a daily basis, you will meet with your outlet managers to guide them on operational, commercial, and team management matters. On a weekly basis, you will meet with the operational management team of the hotel to enhance collaboration between departments. With support from the Hotel Manager, you will oversee your department's profit and loss, taking necessary actions to ensure profitability. In this role, you will be supported by a Food & Beverage Coordinator and a Management Intern.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing business cases for new initiatives and cultivating unique relationships with suppliers. Providing wide-ranging personal service to our guests will be a key aspect of your role, allowing you to showcase your skills within our hotel and the city. You will engage with a diverse range of guests, each offering a unique type of contact, providing you with opportunities to shine and portray yourself.

Who are we looking for?
As our new Food & Beverage Manager, you will confidently manage all F&B service operations in our hotel. You excel in collaborating with other departments and have honed your communication skills throughout your career. In addition to overseeing flawless guest service, you think commercially and effectively manage your team to meet budgets and targets. You dedicate time to developing your managers and coach them to achieve their operational goals. Furthermore, you have:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in food & beverage management;

  • An eye for detail and quality, with at least 2 years of management experience within the luxury segment;

  • Passion, skill and knowledge for high-end F&B operations;

  • A commercial mindset with the ability to balance profit and loss;

  • An academic background in hotel and/or gastronomy management (not required);

  • Flexibility to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.
